Unsure of age…definitely older vintage, possibly antique. As far as we can tell, this was probably originally used as a washing machine. It came with an old-style crank wringer (on the ground in the first photo) that we were never able to figure out how to attach. The tub is on legs, with a hinged lid. The height — when closed — makes the tub suitable to use as a guest book table for a standard sized guest book. (See example photo.) The tub no longer holds water, although it has been sprayed inside with a sealant. It is a WONDERFUL rustic piece that we have thoroughly enjoyed having at the farm.
